A Message from Pronto's Board President Vivian Hart

Dear Friends,

We hope you are staying safe while

adhering to the government's

guidelines on how to stop the spread of the

COVID-19 virus. Pronto's Food Pantry has

remained open during this crisis distributing

food to our neediest families, however all of

our other services are suspended for now.

The COVID-19 pandemic has hit our country and New York State particularly hard. Here on Long Island as elswhere too many people have succumbed to this virus. At this time our immediate service area of Brentwood has the highest number of positive cases in Suffolk County and second to that is Central Islip.

During the last month Pronto has distributed food to four times the number of new families that we normally feed in a month. Our staff continues to unselfishly serve our communities as we educate our clients on social distancing and safety guidelines.

There has never been a greater need for your support to keep our pantry shelves full so that we may continue to feed our neediest families.
Our deepest gratitude to all of those individuals and companies who continue to support Pronto. To those who would like to make a donation please click on our DONATE button or visit us on facebook.

As challenging as these times are with unemployment surging and so many businesses closed, Long Islanders and in fact all of America has demonstrated a tremendous ability and desire to protect our most vulnerable. We celebrate this spirit during these holidays and always.
We pray for your safety and good health.

Thank you and God Bless,
Vivian Hart
